Dry your clothes more efficiently

Dry your clothes and use less energy with the Samsung Series 5+ DV90T5240AW/S1 WiFi-enabled 9 kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. It uses heat pump technology – a more cost-effective way of drying clothes by using hot air to absorb moisture from your clothes.

By using a lower temperature than conventional dryers to dry your garments, it offers them better protection. This means your clothes will look newer for longer.

Sensors adjust drying time automatically

Another way the dryer protects your clothes is by using automatic sensors. These adjust the temperature and drying time for the best result, all while helping to lower your energy consumption.

Smart control

The easy-to-use control panel suggests your favourite cycles based on your laundry habits. And the SmartThings app lets you control your dryer from your phone. You can set schedules, customise cycles, run diagnostics and more, quickly and remotely.

Quick dry small loads

In a hurry? Dry your clothes in less time with the Quick Dry 35 program. It can dry a small 1 kg load of clothes in just 35 minutes.

You can monitor and reduce your machine's energy use by up to 20% using the SmartThings AI Energy mode.

Please note: SmartThings available on Android & iOS devices. WiFi connection and Samsung account required. AI Energy mode only available on SuperSpeed and Towels programs. Energy saving based on Samsung internal testing on the DV90BB9445GH model on the SuperSpeed mode with a 5 kg load with the AI Energy Mode turned on, compared to not using AI Energy Mode.

Dry efficiently and gently

A+++ Energy Efficiency with Heat Pump Technology

Our Heat Pump Technology is the way forward for drying your laundry more efficiently. By reheating the air in the drum, it’s gentler on even the most delicate of delicates. And it means you’ll use less electricity compared to a traditional condenser or vented tumble dryer, making it kinder on your bills and the environment too.

Dry out

OptimalDry

You need to tumble dry but don't want to use too much energy. Our Optimal Dry™ smart technology uses moisture and temperature sensors to adjust the drying time. As well as protecting your clothes from damage, it saves energy too.

Loads Smarter

• Smart Control +

Drying just got smarter. With its easy-to-use control panel, this Samsung smart tumble dryer remembers your family’s laundry habits and suggests your favourite cycles first. Track every cycle’s progress with the simply designed display. And when the drying’s done, you’ll get a notification on your phone with the SmartThings app*. Want to make life even easier? Schedule your dryer and get perfect cycle guides from the app. Or even use the Auto Cycle Link† and let your washing machine recommend the right setting to your dryer. Now that’s smart.

Left or right opening? You decide

Reversible Door*

Feel free to put your Samsung tumble dryer where you want in the home, and adjust the door to work with the space. The reversible door lets you choose if it opens on the left or the right of the tumble dryer. Then it’s easy to load and unload your laundry, and it’s even easier if it’s positioned next to the washing machine.

* Only available on certain models.

Dry in no time

Quick Dry 35'

Need your favourite top dry for an impromptu night out? The 35 Minute Quick Dry cycle dries a load of clothes in just over half an hour*. How handy is that? It's ideal for loads of up to 1kg.

* May vary depending on the type of fabric.

Double up on drying, not cleaning

2-in-1 Filter

Looking after your machine will make it last longer and get your laundry nice and dry every time. Maintain your tumble dryer and optimise the drying performance with our 2-in-1 filter which collects fluff, meaning the heat exchange filter needs cleaning less often. And in case you forget, the handy clean alarm reminds you when it needs to be done.

Fewer wrinkles, less ironing

Wrinkle Prevent

Lighten your ironing load with a drying feature that works wonders on smoothing wrinkles and creases. Once your cycle ends on your tumble dryer, select the clever Wrinkle Prevent setting. It will cool the clothes down and rotate the drum. This means your dry clothes don’t sit too long in one place to pick up creases. Then just grab your clothes and you’ll be good to go.
